If your family is travelling with you

Short-stay visa
The family cannot be added on the invitation letter, a normal touristic visa should be requested

Long-stay visa

• Proceed with the invitation letter request by adding the family member(s) on the form.
• Send to the CMS secretariat the copy of all the passeports.
• Note that if you want to add family members in your invitation letter, they will have to request a VISA for the same dates as you.

If your family is joining you later

Short-stay visa
CERN doesn't provide any invitation letter for the family members. A normal touristic visa should be requested

Long-stay visa

For France:

• Proceed with the request of Note Verbale
• Send to the CMS secretariat the copy of all the passeports.

For Switzerland:

• Proceed with the Swiss Attestation
